Animals in eSports - Picture Contest

Dear DL community,
While being out in Africa (Kenya) for this month, I thought I could do some fun stuff over here. When I was sitting at my computer a monkey tried to steal my SteelSeries Neckband. I took a picture and sent it to the DL admins. We then got the idea to make a picture contest with animals in eSports. It´s a bit off topic but we would love to see more pictures of cats playing DotA, hamsters running on CPU fans or a group of squirrels winning the World Cyber Games Championship.

Now this is what you can do: Take a photo, make a drawing/painting, photoshop around and make a funny picture with any type of animal in an eSports surrounding and add a cool slogan to it to make it even funnier (Please no dirty stuff guys!!).
The best 4 pictures will be presented in the news and can win one of the SteelSeries prizes mentioned above. So take your time and make something crazy.
The entry deadline is Friday 9th of May at 21:00 League Time so you have about a week to do some cool pix.
We, the admins, will make an internal voting about which the best pictures are and will create an overview page of all the images that we received, so everyone can see them. The winners will be announced on Sunday 11th.
Check out the details for the picture contest:
- You can draw / paint / use Photoshop or take a photo to make a funny image with anything that has to do with animals in eSports
- The minimum size of the picture should have at least 800x600 pixel
- There is no limit of pictures you can send in, so you can make 2 or more
- Upload the picture to a image hoster like Imageshack (link below) or to your own webspace.
- Send the link of the image you made to Mooseman via PM (link below)
and add a little description of what you have done and what your thoughts were. - Admins are not allowed to take part in the contest (sorry guys)
- The creators of the best images will be contacted by Mooseman directly
- DLeague Ltd. reserves the right to use the images from the contest for further commercial use (such as in the news)
- Do not google images that already exist. You have to create your OWN images. Pictures that are not your own intellectual property will be excluded from the contest.
- Messages which have nothing to do with this contest will be disregarded!

Top Match: mouz vs. WG

Tonight two of the big teams of Division 1 come together for a clash once again. This time it is mousesports vs. WolkeR Gaming. So far mouz is leading with 15 points and 7 played matches in front of WG who have 12 points and also 7 played matches.
This will be a tough fight for both teams and a chance for WG to team up with mouz and Avid who also have 15 points in order to fight for the high ranks in the Pick League.
As usual GGTV will be provided and we can give a warm welcome to GosuDomi who will do his best at shoutcasting this great match. If you are lucky there will be the Domi-Line afterwards or even prior to the game.

DotA Client 1.86 Alpha

Hey community,
today a public alpha of the new DotA Client version 1.86 has been released. Our DC server has been updated and supports both the stable 1.8 and the new 1.86 version.
The new version features a lot of bugfixes and security enhancements. It also includes in-game latency change (see toggle) and a mouse lock if you want to play in window mode.
How to use in-game latency change?
Command:
!changelat,
!changelatency, or
!cl (all do the same thing)
Parameters:
numeric value e.g. !cl 50 : Sets the game step timer latency to the exact value specified
OR
+/-numeric value e.g. !cl +20 / !cl -20 : Increments/decrements the current game step timer latency by the value specified
OR
+/- e.g. !cl + / !cl - : Increments/decrements the current game step timer latency by 5ms for small, finely-tuned adjustments
You can view the current latency (as well as a few other things) in the DC Info box by clicking the Map Info button in-game.
Download it here. If you are new to DC do not forget to read our DC info page.
There is no exact date when were making DC finally mandatory yet, let`s see if this version works as expected. We will keep you up2date.

IceFrog has just released a new version of DotA!
As always, you should download the map directly from getdota just in case there are fake versions out there.
Changelog
- Rewrote all item code and systems. It now supports things like properly tracking item ownerships, fusing recipes with a full inventory as well as fixing a lot of older miscellaneous bugs and usability issues, and setting groundwork for other things in the future
- Fixed all CustomKey problems. All hotkeys in the game can now be properly remapped to any other hotkey
- Map strings are now properly allocated to allow players with different language versions to play with each other without having to download multiple maps themselves. This means, for example, that you can play or watch games with your English version of the map with someone using a Chinese, Korean or Russian translated version of the map without any problems. The maps for the other languages will be posted on getdota.com alongside the English version for each release
- Lowered side angles on Bristleback
- Agility Morph and Strength Morph can now be clicked on directly for one-time use
- Morph interval is smoother when it levels (same overall rate though)
- Improved Elder Form attack animation
- Improved cooldown progression on Soul Rip
- Rewrote Timewalk to keep constant speed (so its not slow motion when you click nearby)
- Dark Rift can now be cast by targeting minimap
- Increased AutoQuills release requirement on Bristleback from 200 to 300
- Improved cooldown progression on Primal Split
- Improved initial AI on Dopplewalk image to make it less obvious when it`s created
- Sonic Wave cooldown no longer improves per level in non-scepter form

- Added a new single player or -test mode subcommand (-noherolimit) that lets you get multiple heroes, primarily for video editors that have been requesting it
