Registration:
? Every user has to register his own account on our homepage, it is not allowed to register more than one account.
? Please fill out the forms on the registration section. You have to enter a username, a password and a valid emailadress. After you submitted the forms, you will receive an email with a registration link. Please click on the link to fulfil the registration.
? Enter your correct Battlenet account at the "Battlenet Account" section on the right side. All league games are played on the Northrend Battle.net server, so you have to create a Northrend Account (Europe Gateway).

? You can login on the right side with your username and your password. Please notice, that the login is case-sensitive.
? If you lost your password, please enter your email at the lost password section. It is not possible to send you the password, because it is encrypted in our database. We will send you a new, automatically generated password. If you are logged in, you can change your password in the personal menu.

? You must be logged in to create an account at the Dota-League forum.

? You can register a clan, if you are logged in, on the right side. Please insert all informations into the forms. It is important to enter contact possibility for your team.
? Please set a join password for your team, and give it to your mates. They can join your team with this password.
? It is not possible to play in two teams.
? If you register a clan, you are the leader of this team. You can give your member the positions Fighter, Manager and Co-Leader. Fighters have no special rights in the team. Team managers have the right to change the clan profile. Co-Leaders have the same rights as the Leader, expect of deleting the team.

? The Pick league is one of our league systems. The pick league is divided into several divisions, with the number of 10 teams. You are fighting during the season against all teams from your division. The default match date is Sunday at 19:00 league-time. You can adjust with your opponent another date for your match, but it is important to fix the match date in the match-comments, even it is the default date.
? If your opponent does not show up on the specified date, you have to wait 15 minutes until you enter the default win. Abusing this function may result in penalty points for your team.
? Teams on the green marked places get the chance to play expulsion-games against teams on the red marked places from a higher division. If you win these game(s) your team is in a higher division at the new season. You go from division 5 to division 4 and from division 4 to division 3 and so on.

? If your team fulfils all requirements (5 players with correct Battlenet accounts) the leader or a manager can signup the team. You can challenge a opponent via the "challenge module". Please select a matchdate and the point of time and insert the opponents clanID. If you submit the form, the opponent team receive a message with all details of your challenge. They can accept or decline the challenge, if the challenge is accepted a binding match is generated. You can search opponents at the chat (iRC Quakenet channel #dota-league).

? All SIG games are to be hosted on the BattleNet Northrend server. If you do not have a BattleNet account on the Northrend server, you will need to create one before you can play SIG`s at Dota-League.
back to topWho hosts a SIG?:
? When a SIG is created anyone in the game can host it as long as you have set your Firewall up so that you can host a game on BattleNet. If the game has already been hosted, join the game instead. Notice that the game MUST ALWAYS be a PRIVATE game and NOT a public game so that you can be sure that only the players in the SIG can join the game. The exact game name can be found in the SIG details.

? The game name of a SIG is ALWAYS the the game name mentioned in the game in question. The game name will always be dl.single.xxxxxxx where xxxxxxx is the number of the game.
back to topHow to upload a Replay / Screenshot:
? To upload a screenshot or replay of a game, just use the link on your right called "Replay / Screenshot upload" (or follow this link) and fill out the blanks. REMEMBER to fill in the ID with the ID of your game (only the numbers - not the whole "dl.single.xxxxxxx"). This will link the file to the SIG in question.

? This is because Single Instant Games are disabled for all new account registrations due to many abusers who make new accounts after their old account is banned. You first have to wait 2 weeks and then apply for Single Instant Game. An admin will then decide if you will be allowed to play SIG. You can find the registration » here.
back to topWhy the 2 weeks wait for SIG?:
? We have had alot of people who tried abusing our system in the past to evade certain bans - for this reason we have had to implement a 2 weeks waiting period before new users can apply for SIG so that there is no ban to evade in most of the cases. The problem was not catching the users but rather that many got banned on a permanent basis because they did not read our rules before making a second account and this lead to alot of extra work banning all those accounts.
back to topBanned for Multi Account:
? If you got banned for multi accounting and you wish to complain you can write a support and explain your case. Sometimes we do make mistakes and some people have siblings and as a result there is the occational error. Note that you will be asked in the support to provide evidence that you only have one account - this will be explained further in the support.
Note that you can not "confess your accounts" once you are banned. You broke the rules and we caught you and this is the time where you should take it like a man and admit it.
? What not to do:
Do not write about it on the forum - noone there can help you any way.
Do not contact Admins via PM - they will ignore you.
Do not qry any Admin directly on the chat - you will be ignored.
back to topHow do I confess to Multi Accounting and why should I?:
? You can start by coming on to irc to reveal your other accounts to an admin along with proof that those accounts are yours. What you get in return is a clean conscience and a fresh start without more than one account on one of your accounts as chosen by the admin. Note that it is not possible to make use of this offer once you have already been banned. We appreciate people who want to do the right thing but once you have been caught it is too late.
back to topHow do I check for name spoofers?:
? To check for name spoofers you must write /whois [players nick without the "[]"] and each player must be checked like this. If you get an error message which says that the user is not online, but you see him in pregame it is likely his nick is spoofed.
Alternatively, if you use Banlist (www.banlist.nl) you can use the following script made by IrAq-FTW

To use a script in Banlist, open Banlist, click Preferences -> Phrases.
Then press the + icon. Fill in what you want to write to run the script in `Name of Phrase` and in the `Text to be Written` you write the script.
If you then use your phrase by /p phrasename it should run.
If you can`t make it run properly, try right-clicking the phrase and assign it to a hotkey.

back to topSending Supports to specific admins:
? If you for some reason feel better knowing that a specific admin is the one who will answer your support you can send your support directly to him or her. This is done by writing a support as you normally would but in the Topic box you write "To ADMIN" where you change ADMIN with the nick of the admin you wish to take your support. This is offered to users who may be afraid of reprisals for some reason or another (see How do I report an admin?) or if you have a special request that you feel that a specific admin would be the best suited for. Do not use this option for triviel supports as abuse may lead to punishments.
back to topAppealing Bans and Admin rulings:
? If you strongly disagree with the ruling of an admin you can complain about the ruling. This is done by writing a support using the same SIG ID as the support or game you wish to complain about as well as a through explanation as to why you feel it was unfair. Note that this must be backed up by the rules and if the admin feels that you are in any way trying to abuse this option you will recieve Penalty Points for wasting an admins time.
back to topHow do I report an admin?:
? If you feel that an admin is abusing his or her rights as an admin, write a support on it. Make sure to make the topic line "To [admin]" with another admin than the one you wish to report - that way you are sure that the admin you are reporting will not take the support and that way you can be sure that the matter will be investigated properly.
Also, make sure to include links to evidence. Note that abuse of this WILL result in Ban.

? This is a guide to those of you who wish to use Listchecker when hosting games. Note that it is NOT mandatory to use Listchecker on DotA League and before doing so, you should be aware that you will be using your CD Key at your own risk. DotA League is in no way responsible for your use of Listchecker, your CD Key or any other complications you may experience.
That said, due to popular demand, IrAq-FTW have been kind enough to make a guide to Listchecker for us:
