DL Cup Presents: We Feed People.Awesome!

After 7 blasting rounds of the finest DotA action in the Dota-League cup, we finally come to the semifinals. But before we will kick off with the semi-finals, we will help you to get more familiar with the last 4 teams that made it this far in the cup! Our first interview will be about Carl 'GweN' Börjesson and his Swedish team 'We Feed People.Awesome' (WFP).

1. The beginning of the clan and your future goals:

We`d like to begin with your clan history. When exactly has your clan be made and why?

GweN: Exactly 3 years ago! Well, me and my irl buddies played a lot of sigs back then. And it felt like the next step was to form a clan. So we formed WFP, me Djooks, Slattie, Serenas and Salig. Four of us are still active and playing for WFP. Which I think makes us a quite unique team. I made up the name and also painted our clan logo, check it out.

Do you remember your very first clan war? If yes, what was the result?

GweN: Hell yeah I do! It was vs Pepp3 and his team at that time, I played Axe and became godlike but we still lost. But what I remember best is Djooks who played Necrolyte solo mid. He was a newb back then, so he autoattacked the whole time, but from nothing he managed to get a deny. I wish I still had access to that replay.

You just told us you still play with 4 members of your original team. What exactly happened to the last guy, and why was he replaced?

GweN: Salig is my brother. Well, he just didn`t want to play dota any longer. No internal fights. Maybe he got tired of all the flaming from me, it`s much easier to take out your anger on your own brother for sure.

What do you expect from year 2010 to achieve with your clan?

GweN: I hope that we will be even better then last year of course. Winning some tournaments would be nice. I hope that the game will become more ganking friendly since we love to fight. I dont know how many cw´s we have lost cause we choose to fight all the time. We call it the "WFP" syndrome.

2. Let`s get some more personal:

Could you describe every member of your team in a few words?

GweN: Slattie: Weird jokes and ADD
           DJooks: Global silence
           Serenas: AFK and tabbed out!
           Merz: He keeps talking even though no one is listening to him
           LaLa: Our punchbag, Dunno how much he can take
           GweN: Funny with some real listening issues

You said you know your mates from real life. Do you still see them much, and what do you do together?

GweN: Slattie is probably my closest friend, so we hang out quite a lot together. The reason we all started playing together was because me and slattie played dota at his house almost every weekend . Slattie and Serenas are brothers too, so that is the way I know Serenas. And Serenas, Salig and Djooks are mates. So it was quite natural that we started playing together. But I don`t hang out with the others, they are way to immature. As for me and slattie, we play football, and getting too drunk every party and therefore never getting laid.

 3. Now let`s talk a bit about Dota in general and the competitive scene.

Where do you think the development of DotA is going?

GweN: Well, that`s a hard one for sure. But I expect Icefrog to make Dota faster and more ganking friendly. Because that is what both the players and the fans want. So it would be stupid to go another way! And it feels like the game is going that way, the new map doesn`t require your team to have 3 carries to be able to win the game. So that`s nice.

So you like the fact that the games gets faster, and that there is more action?

GweN: Yes I do! As I mentioned before we tend to fight more then we should. If the game gets faster and more gank orientated, it would be very good for our team.

DL: What do you think of the two new heroes? Are they worthy for competitive DotA?

GweN: Hmm.. I hate murloc in sigs! Cause he doesn`t need any items to be dangerous 1v1. But he is quite weak on lane and in teamfights. Which will make him not more then a decent hero in competitive dota. As for AA, he is extremely annoying in the lane phase. But I do not think he will be a must have pick either, he´s rather weak and fragile. My personal tip to Icefrog would be to introduce Mountainking (Hero in the orginial Warcraft III) in dota.

4. Let`s come to Dota-League and especially to the Dota-League Cup.

Have you enjoyed the first edition of the DL Cup so far? Do you want DotA-League to continue this competition?

GweN: Oh yeah! Best tourney ever. So fun to feel that you actually have the chance to win a tournament. It gives the smaller teams a chance to shine, simple as that.

Speaking of giving smaller teams the chance to show themselves. Do you think that the top teams should be again excluded in the next Cup?

GweN: Imo yes. If you let the pro teams play the tourney would somehow lose its purpose. Just read Dota-league slogan and you will understand what I mea.

What do you think of DotA-League in general? Do you like the Coverages, SIG system, Pick-League and stuff like Farm4Fame?

GweN: I think dota-league is great. People get the chance to play at a higher level then pubs. The sig system could get some improvements. It would be nice to have midskill-sig between regular sig and VIP.Since there is a lot of players that are to good to play with beginners but has not been able to get VIP. Because sadly there are a lot of games getting ruined cause there is too much skill difference. Pick-league is a very nice concept, very good for the teams that are not that known! Farm4fame brings a lot of good replays and that`s good enough for me.

5. And where is the fun?

Firstly, describe all of your team members personalitys as a DotA Hero.

GweN: Slattie: Pudge, he doesn`t speak that much. And when he speaks, no one understands him!
             Djooks: Kinda logical that he is silencer 
             Serenas: Ogre, he seems to be kinda lost
             Merz: Meepo. He talks as much as four guys together
             LaLa: Cent, he can tank alot of shit talk
             Gwen: Maiden. My eyes are gorgeous
