1. Pick-League General Rules:

1.0 The current map for Pick League games is 6.66b.

1.1a The mode will be –cm.
1.1b Default Gamemode is -cm. -CD can be played aswell, but only if BOTH teams agree on playing -CD prior to the match. Use the matchcomments for the negotation about the gamemode.

1.2a Every week you must play one match. One match is two games, one game you will play as the sentinel and the other you will play as the scourge. Sentinel always starts the pick/ban process and should use the command -cm1. Divisions 1 and 2 only play 1 game per match.
1.2b If both teams agree, the game may be shortened from two matches to one. In this case there will be no draw. The two teams should agree between themselves which team will play sentinel. They must also agree on who hosts.

1.3 All arrangements for rules 1.2, 1.5, 1.6, 1.10 and 1.11 must be posted in the match comments before the game or must be posted at the beginning of the match so the admin can see them on the match comments or in the replay.

1.4a Only registered, non marked players (no red or orange marked players) of your Dota-league clan are allowed to play. The opposing team or a Pick League Admin may allow a marked player to play.
1.4b Red marked players are only allowed to play (assuming they get permission) if they are not banned permanantly. This means they have less than 99PP (as a hacker or multiaccounter would).
1.4c Only members with their current registered Battle.Net/GoodGameClient accounts are allowed to play. If one of your members plays with a wrong Battle.Net/GoodGameClient account your team will get penalty points and may receive a default loss.

1.5 For division 1 to division 3 GGClient is the default platform for all games. For division 4 and division 5 the teams can agree on a platform (ggc, dz, lc). If teams can’t agree on the platform, the default platform is battle.net, including delay reducers like dz and lc.

1.6 Sentinel has hosting rights. This does not mean that they must host, but if a disagreement ensues about who will host the game the Sentinel will make the decision.

1.7 All the rules in the "Community" category also apply to the Pick League season.

1.8a If your team obtains 3 team penalty points, it will be removed from the league unless the division admin decides otherwise.
1.8b The whole team is responsible for the actions of its players. This means if one member of the team breaks rules during a Pickleague game, the team will be punished.

1.9 The default date for Pickleague matches are Sunday at 19:00 League Time.

1.10 Match dates can be rescheduled if both teams agree on one date. If both teams do not agree on another date, the default date will apply. All games must be played before the Friday after the default date. Your division admin is allowed to reschedule the match if he feels it is required.

1.11 You must post a comment telling your opponent when you want to play, even if you intend to play on the default date. The deadline for each comment is Friday 22:00 CET before every game. If you do not post a match date your team will get a penalty point and the match date will be the default date or the date your opponent posted before the deadline.

1.12 A default win can be claimed by a team if their opposition fails to show at the prearranged place 15 minutes after the prearranged date and time have passed.

1.13 After 3 default losses your team could be removed if your league admin believes your team will stay inactive.

1.14 The first three teams of a division will participate at the playoffs.

1.15 Teams placed 10th, 11th and 12th are automatically relegated. If 2 or more teams are removed, the team placed last in the division is automatically relegated. If there are less than 6 teams in the division, no team will be relegated.

1.16a If two teams have equal points at the end of the season (whether it be the relegation or promotion zone) there will be a play-off to decide which team gets relegated/promoted.
1.16b If 1.16a applies then a play-off match is only required if the two teams drew against each other during the season. This rule can just be applied on divisions running the BO2 system, respectively divisions 3-5.

1.17 It is the team's responsibility to ensure that their players participating in playoffs have not played a playoff match for another team during the season.

2. In game rules

2.0 If one team is incomplete (i.e. 4 players or less) the other team may claim the win. If both teams agree, the game(s) may be played with less than 10 players and uneven teams.

2.1 Any team has the right to pause game for up to 5 minutes, but only with a proper countdown of at least 3 seconds. A maximum of 2 pauses per team are allowed per game. A team is also obliged to give a countdown of at least 3 seconds before unpausing.

2.2 Teams must save after First Blood and should save frequently during a match in order to compensate for disconnects.

2.3 If a player disconnects before 10 minutes and before First Blood has occurred, both teams are obliged to load from last savegame. If the game has not been saved yet, a remake must be made.

2.4 If you remake the game all players must choose exactly the same heroes and same items. Additionally all heroes must be in the same lane as they were for the first game and all wards must be placed on the same places or not placed. After creep contact on the lane you can change lanes.

2.5 If a player disconnects after First Blood or after 10 minutes both teams may agree to load from last savegame - otherwise both teams must keep on playing without the load. If both teams agree to load, you must load from the latest savegame.

2.6 A team which has obtained an Advantage (see 2.7) over the other team since the last save may force a load from last savegame if a player disconnects.

2.7 An Advantage is defined as follows: If Team A has obtained more than 5 hero kills more than Team B, Team A is counted as having an Advantage. Tower kills count for 3 hero kills and barrack kills count for 5 hero kills when calculating who has the Advantage.

2.8 If a player disconnects less than two minutes after the last savegame and nothing substantial happened (no herokills , destroyed buildings, killing roshan), you must reload.

2.9 If a player disconnects and the game is not loaded you are allowed to EITHER
  • Use the hero and ALL his items as they are
OR
  • Teamsell ALL items from the hero itself. You are not allowed to take the items and sell them from any hero other than the leaver and you are not allowed to take the items and use them on another hero. Please note that this rule does NOT forbid you from using the hero, even if you sold all his items.

2.10 The game is over and the winners found when:
  • The World Tree or Frozen Throne is destroyed.
OR
  • The other team gives up and their captain types "ff" or "forfeit" in all chat to confirm that they have given up(note that the captain is always the blue/pink player)

2.11 After your match you must enter the result or confirm your enemies result within 2 days. Failure to do this will earn your team penalty points.

2.12 The winning team must upload the replays AND a screenshot proving who won each game. If it was a reload, upload the replay that you have (lastreplay.w3g) and a screenshot proving you won. If you do not do this within 2 days of the games completion, your team will get penalty points.

3. Known bugs and restrictions:

3.0 Bug using will be punished and may result in a default loss. If you are not sure if something is a bug or not it is your responsibility to find out.

3.1 A maximum of two Guinsoo’s Scythe of Vyse are allowed per team.

3.2 You can use other heroes to buy your items as long as you use your money and they are not used by this hero. Remember that you are not allowed to make any kind of recipes with items the other hero bought with his/her gold.

3.3 Completely closing any entrance to a base using the Earthshaker’s Fissure spell is forbidden.

3.4 You are not allowed to block creeps with the use of spells such as Fissure, Sprout, Summons or any other spells which hinder your own creeps from getting to their destination. However, you may use fissure to completely block a lane outside the base if it's done with the intention of killing a hero or saving an allied one.
