Round 3 100% done

Ah, round 3 is now completely done. And only 2 teams didn't submit any results at all! What an improvement.

Now that thing I was hinting about:

In round 4 two division 1 clans are facing off, RedSky Gaming and diamondZ e.V . We though this would be a good opportunity to start the first GGTV Broadcast + Shoutcast report by our very own Domi. The match will be held sometime sunday. I'll update you saturday or sunday morning.

Good luck in round 4 and don't forget to play your games before monday 23/6. So Sunday 22/6 at the latest. So you can't play Monday! Got it?!

  • Info about the match:

We will start around 19.00 LT (League Time), the shoutcast link will be posted on the main page.
The match will be streamed live on GGTV.

Round 3 nearing the end

The end of round 3 is coming closer, lots of teams have allready posted their results but there are still a lot of open spots on the grid. This is mostly because some results have been denied. Please check the grid to make sure your result has been accepted. If this is not the case look why and post in the Clarification thread ASAP!

The result thread will be closed tomorrow morning so post your results tonight please.

We might have a little surprise for you soon, I'll let you know when/if I have more information.

Good luck to those still playing tonight!

End of round 2

Hey guys,

Round 2 is allmost over, we're still waiting for a few results, please deliver them asap.
A few results have been denied, please correct them asap so the grid will be clear.

I would also like to remind you to give us the results in the proper format, many teams still forgot to write their full clannames and/or add endgame screenshots. Without this information our job becomes a lot more tedious so the next round we will deny all the incomplete results.

The next default date is Wednesday 18/6. Note that in the first 2 rounds we have been a little lenient and allowed results to come in late, this will not be tolerated from now on. Any results we get on Thursday 19/6 will be discarded. Hopefully everything will go smoothly.

Good luck!

Neutral Hosts

Hey there,

TasteMeAcc has offered to make his Neutral Hosting Project available for DM9.

You will find some neutral hosts from Denmark, Sweden and Germany in the DM9 IRC Channel #dota-masters that may also be good Garena/GGC hosts for outside Europe. You can recognize them by the + before their nickname (voice status).

If they cannot help you out, e.g. they already host another game, simply ask in the channel if somebody else can help you or ask an admin if its really necessary.

Rule changes

Hello guys,

after many questions we added two new rules and changed the DC rule a bit:

1.2 By default games have to be played with DotA Client (v 1.8 or 1.86) on Dota-League's DC server. The default hosting platform is also DotA Client. In case both teams agree you can use another hosting platform or play without DC. Please note that we will not handle any hacking issues of games played without DC. Dota Client works with ListChecker and with Garena, in this case you have to logon to Battle.net first so that DC can retrieve your auth ID before returning to the LAN screen to host/join the game. If you use Garena make sure you have entered your Garena account to your DL profile or it will not work!
1.7 Breaking rules can result in a warning or disqualification from the tournament, depending on the severity of the rule break.
2.1 One game will be played each round (bo1).

Furthermore we would like to remind you all that the first game should be played until the 8th June so you should hurry up with the scheduling for it. The default match time is Sunday at 17:00 CET.

Best regards,

Dota Masters 9

Exactly one year has passed since the Dota-League held a 5 vs 5 tournament and throughout that time our urge to give a tournament to our community was very high.

Working on the site, improving SIG and making future plans put a little break into our tournament schedules. But we will strike back and put all our strength together to have the largest Dota Masters yet.

And now that we have prepared everything properly, we can boost DL to tournament heaven in 2008!

The sign-up is officially open. Any team which is registered at DL can sign up below. If you do not have a team yet, feel free to register on our website and then go to this sign-up page.

Also Dota Masters 9 will be the official qualifier for a high-class tournament series which we will hold after DM9. One of 16 team-slots will be available to be won as well as the prizes by SteelSeries. 16 further teams will be invited.

Now all you have to do is click on the sign-up button below and prepare yourself and your team for the final start on June 6th, 2008.
